What
is Community Acupuncture?
Community acupuncture is the term we use to describe our affordable method
of treating people in a multi-bed clinic. This method is practiced in China
today and is rapidly developing across USA and UK. Community acupuncture uses
mainly TCM acupuncture but also uses Korean Hand Acupuncture and Auricular
acupuncture inclusive to the basic cost i.e. at no extra fee.
Most Complementary therapies can be too expensive for the majority of people.
This is usually because they are conducted on a one-to-one basis, taking up
to an hour
of the practitioners time. High overhead costs have to be passed to patient
in high treatment charges.
Community
Acupunture strives to make acupuncture affordable for you to come as often
and for as long as needed.
This is
achieved by practitioners treating several patients together in a large single
room with screen dividers for privacy. Consultation is always carried out
in a separate, private room and private talking space is available if you
require it at other times.
Acupuncture
needles are then inserted for 20-30 minutes. The acupuncturists can move from patient
to patient while the needles do their work. This allows us to reduce our overheads
and pass this saving onto you. Therefore, the quality of treatment is not
compromised, only the cost.
